Overview
VetPress gives an animal hospital a website that reads as warm, caring, and calm — a teal-and-orange palette, editorial headlines, and reassuring copy for worried pet parents, with none of the stock-puppy clichés. A hybrid Gutenberg theme, not a page-builder starter, with no prices or outcome claims.
Everything a clinic needs is modeled in native WordPress: services, for-pet-parents groups, team, pet-care resources, and pet stories as first-class content types with shared taxonomies — no ACF, no Elementor, no third-party form plugin.
Booking an appointment is the emphasized path with a new-patients and emergency note in the header, and a governed wellness-plans page fails closed — a plan only shows verified when its source and reviewer are present, with no prices invented.
Appointment booking
The emphasized path — a booking form with real validation, plus new-patient and emergency notes in the header.
Governed wellness plans
A plan only shows verified when its source and reviewer are present. No prices invented.
Reassuring & claim-safe
No prices or treatment-outcome guarantees; credentials illustrative; emergencies routed to a phone call.
Self-hosted fonts
Newsreader, Source Sans 3, and IBM Plex Mono served locally — zero Google-CDN calls, GDPR-friendly.
Accessible & translation-ready
WCAG 2.2 AA intent throughout, every string internationalized, escaped output and sanitized input.
