Overview
BuildPress gives a construction firm a website that reads as capable, grounded, and safety-first — a slate-and-safety-amber palette, editorial headlines, and a project portfolio that does the selling, with none of the hard-hat-clipart clichés. A hybrid Gutenberg theme, not a page-builder starter.
Everything a builder needs is modeled in native WordPress: services, sectors, team, projects, and insights as first-class content types with shared taxonomies — no ACF, no Elementor, no third-party form plugin.
The project portfolio is the centrepiece — each project carries location, scope, value band, year, and sector — supported by a governed safety & certifications page and a native, validated quote-request form.
Native quote request
Real validation, an error summary, and a success state — with sensitive-data warnings and zero sensitive fields.
Governed safety & certifications
A certification only shows verified when its certifying body and reviewer are present — it never claims what it can’t stand behind.
Self-hosted fonts
Newsreader, Source Sans 3, and IBM Plex Mono served locally — zero Google-CDN calls, GDPR-friendly.
theme.json + patterns
Design tokens mapped to theme.json, editor styles, and block patterns for the hero, process, and CTA bands.
Accessible & translation-ready
WCAG 2.2 AA intent throughout, every string internationalized, escaped output and sanitized input.
